The official Bahamas destination guide identifies Exuma International Airport as the primary gateway to The Exumas. The airport is on Great Exuma near Moss Town and a few miles from George Town. Bahamas private-aviation guidance also lists an FBO at MYEF.
An international arrival must use an authorized Airport of Entry. Customs and immigration availability, advance notice, handling, and operating hours must be confirmed for the trip. Current Bahamas private-aviation guidance warns that airport-specific customs hours vary and that nighttime capability is limited; the operating carrier should therefore confirm a feasible MYEF arrival rather than treating it like a 24-hour airline terminal.
On the return, U.S. Customs and Border Protection requires the operator to submit advance passenger information and secure permission to land from the U.S. port of arrival. Which aircraft fits the mission

Near George Town and Elizabeth Harbour

Northern Great Exuma

Little Exuma

Stocking Island or farther into the cays
Stocking Island sits across Elizabeth Harbour from George Town and is reached by boat. Properties farther into the Exuma Cays may require a different airport, a charter flight within The Bahamas, or a longer boat transfer. Great Exuma is not automatically the best runway for every cay simply because all are in the same island chain.
Build the trip around the water
The first boat day should stay flexible enough to use the best local forecast. From a Great Exuma base, that might mean Elizabeth Harbour, Stocking Island, snorkeling, fishing, or beaches and sandbars within a sensible operating area.
The famous northern-cay experiences are not all next door to George Town.
